LOS ANGELES, CA (October 21, 2025) – Seen&Heard, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that develops the professional character of system-impacted youth aged 16-24, is excited to announce it has received a $2,500 grant from the Albertsons Foundation. This funding partnership will directly benefit young people facing homelessness, hunger, and barriers to education and employment, providing vital resources and hope for their futures.

Seen&Heard offers a free 18-week, trauma-informed program that combines performing arts with hands-on career development training. Each week, participants engage in creative self-expression while also learning real-world job skills like communication, teamwork, and leadership. The program’s safe, supportive environment helps students heal and build confidence as they develop essential life and workplace skills. Many of these system-impacted youth have experienced foster care, trafficking, or homelessness, and often struggle with food insecurity and gaps in education or employment opportunities. Seen&Heard’s mission is to transform their lives through creative growth, confidence building, and workplace readiness – helping break the cycle of adversity through empowerment.

The $2,500 grant from the Albertsons Foundation will provide critical support both in the short term and long term. Immediately, it ensures no student goes hungry – funding nutritious meals during in-person program sessions and providing grocery gift cards to meet urgent needs. This immediate relief meets basic needs and reflects the Albertsons Foundation’s focus on fighting hunger and supporting local communities. In the long run, the grant fuels Seen&Heard’s broader vision by sustaining mentorship opportunities, skills training, and resources that move each young person closer to stability, confidence, and employment.

“We are thrilled and deeply grateful for the Albertsons Foundation’s support,” said Regan Williams, Co-Founder and CEO of Seen&Heard. “Their generosity means we can provide our students not only with hot meals for our in-person cohorts, and gift cards to cover immediate needs, but also with the mentorship and skills that change lives long-term. This partnership truly shows how a little support can go a long way – moving a young person one step closer to a diploma, a stable career, and a future they get to write.”

Seen&Heard has already witnessed life-changing outcomes for its alumni. Many participants who once doubted their future have gone on to achieve major milestones – some becoming the first in their family to attend college, others traveling overseas for study abroad programs, and even graduates earning advanced degrees (one alum recently completed a master’s at Columbia University). These success stories highlight the power of creative growth, confidence building, and workplace readiness at the heart of Seen&Heard’s mission.

In recognition of this generous grant, Seen&Heard will publicly honor the Albertsons Foundation across its social media channels, newsletters, website, and communications with students and alumni. The organization is eager to celebrate this partnership and the positive impact it will have on the community.
