SUPPORT OUR MISSION
We may not be able to change the system, but we can equip former foster youth in Los Angeles and the Antelope Valley with the tools to build their own future. Your support not only makes a difference—it goes directly to providing skills that foster confidence, professional skills, and emotional resilience. One student at a time, one scene at a time, one transformed life at a time—your donation makes it possible, empowering foster youth in Los Angeles and the Antelope Valley to thrive.
Why Our Program is Needed
The latest America Community Survey data indicated that in 2021, 15 percent (307,954) of youth 16 to 19 years of age were not in school in the previous three months, and 38.4 percent of young adults 20 to 24 years of age were either unemployed or not in the labor force at all.
Statistics can be informative, but our job is to look beyond the numbers to see individuals. Youth in foster care are already seen as a problem population, but we believe they hold promise. Every day, our baseline will always be the student in front of us. We stay small for a reason. Youth exiting mass-systems don’t need mass-system solutions. By focusing on individuals, we have the chance to change one life, thereby changing a family, and eventually over time, a generation.
